Free NHS Flu Vaccination – Are You Eligible?

For certain groups, flu can lead to serious complications. That’s why the NHS offers free flu vaccinations to those at higher risk. You may be eligible for a free NHS flu jab if you meet any of the following criteria:

• Aged 65 or over (including those turning 65 before March 31, 2024)

• Pregnant

Have a chronic condition, such as:

• DiabetesAsthma (requiring a preventer inhaler), COPD, or another long-term lung disease

• Liver or kidney disease

• A neurological condition like Parkinson’s disease

• A weakened immune system due to illness or treatment

• Severely overweight (BMI of 40 or higher)

• Living with someone who has a weakened immune system (e.g., due to medical treatment)

• Providing unpaid care for someone whose health would be at risk if you became ill

• Working in frontline health or social care, including residential homes, hospices, and care providers

• A resident of a care or nursing home
